SDPI Kerala, Karnataka units to hold campaign against endosolfon’
Bangalore: Social Democratic Party of India, Karnataka state unit, has condemned the statement of union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar that ban on endosolfan was impossible.
Abdul Majeed Kodlipete, state president of SDPI Karnataka, said in a press release that in Kerala and Karnataka thousands of people including women and children were disabled permenently as result of endosolfon spraying. Even though the spraying of the chemical caused such a huge damage, such a statement by the agricultural minister shows his anti people policy and it created a feeling among the people whether he was a spokes person of Endosolfon companies.
He said union minster should learn the fact. He should travel all endosolfon effected places with experts and should take all necessary measures to ban of endosolfon in the country.
He also said in coming days SDPI Kerala and Karnataka units would jointly hold campaign against endosolfon.
He also demanded Karnataka government to urge union government for the ban of endosolfon
